Plump lips are definitely in style, but most of us are not looking to get botox or other pricey operations to achieve those big lips we want. So here’s how you can get plump lips, without emptying your wallet.
This is an easy DIY method of getting those desired lips FAST and naturally. A common ingredient that we all have in our kitchens will help fatten your lips and give you the pout you’re wishing for. Cinnamon will plump your lips by gently irritating the skin. They’ll instantly look fuller.
The main concept of this DIY trick is exfoliating. When you exfoliate your lips you’re getting rid of dead skin and increasing blood flow. Once the blood is flowing to your lips, your lips will instantly look bigger. Make sure that before this you moisturize your lips. This hack is totally safe, but it will tingle like when you eat hot food. However, the feeling will go away quick. And keep in mind, any other method you try won’t work without a little stinging too.
Stay away from doing this too often because just like with any other part of your skin, if you exfoliate too much you can ruin your skin. Make sure you only do this about once a week.
What you’ll need:
Some Vaseline or petroleum jelly
about a teaspoon of cinnamon
A toothbrush or your own fingers - whichever you prefer
How to do it:
You should start out by cleaning your hands really well if you plan on using your fingers. If you have any product on your lips you should remove it gently so your lips are fresh and clean.
After you clean your hands and lips, take cloth and get it a little wet. Rub it over your lips softly to scrub them a little bit and remove some of the dead skin and anything left over.
Put a thin layer of your petroleum jelly evenly over your lips to help keep them protected. This will also help hydrate your lips before you work with the Cinnamon.
After you’ve cleaned and moisturized, get your Cinnamon ready. If you don’t already have it in powder form, you can break it up yourself. It doesn’t have to be super fine because some bigger pieces will help with exfoliating. Mix together the Cinnamon and some Vaseline and use your fingers or a spoon to mix the two together. After they’re blended apply it to your lips.
Now press the toothbrush to the surface of your lips and create gentle exfoliating motions. Use the mixture on the upper as well as lower lip area and avoid going outside your lip area as it might get messy. If you are using your fingers for application, then press the cinnamon and Vaseline mixture on the surface of your lips and gently rub it.
Once it’s on your lips it will start to sting a little bit and maybe make them red. If you don’t see any redness or feel anything then you should try adding more cinnamon. Rub it on your lips for about thirty seconds. Let it sit after and then wipe it off.
After you’ve wiped it off of your lips, put more vaseline or chapstick to Now, again apply a bit of Vaseline to soothe your lips. After this you’ll be left with soft and plump lips.
