LIP TIPS FOR A STUNNING SMILE

Do lips pull a look together? Do they help you create the look you’re going for? In case you didn’t know, they do. Research has proven that men spend a large portion of time looking at a girl’s mouth.
If you’re looking for that special someone to notice you more, choose a stunning lipstick, and follow these steps for a gorgeous smile.
Why healthy lips are important
As most of us girls know, it can be a struggle applying lipstick to cracked lips, especially our favorite matte lipsticks. This is just one reason it’s important to take care of your lips. Lips and the skin on them are super delicate. Not only are they very fragile, but also exposed to more harmful things, especially the cold. And to add on to that, a lot of us pick, lick, and bite our lips - making it even worse.
Taking care of our lips is actually pretty simple. Try using a lip scrub to get rid of any flakes and dry skin. Or if you don’t have one or want to go out and buy one, try using a toothbrush and gently scrubbing your lips. Be careful though, because if you scrub too hard, with a scrub or other tool, you can damage your lips even more.
You can make a lip scrub on your own with stuff from your house too! You can mix coconut oil and sugar together and then use it like a normal lip scrub.
Moisturizer is KEY
When you have smooth lips it’s easier to apply lipsticks and the color shows better. Keeping your lips healthy and soft is super easy too.
Keep your lips healthy by moisturizing them frequently with a hydrating lip balm. Try to keep one on you at all times, it makes it easy to keep your lips looking nice all day. Nobody wants dry and flaky lips!!
Don’t worry about if people will think it’s weird you’re always applying chapstick, it’s normal to reapply often, especially during certain seasons. Be sure you’re paying attention to your lips, especially during colder months where your skin starts to get dry. When they’re dry or cracked, take care of them. Also try to stay away from licking or biting your lips. Saliva only causes further damage and won’t help you at all, even if they are feeling dry.
Now you’re ready for that beautiful color
Once you’ve exfoliated and moisturized, you can get ready to add a pop of color, and have your lips looking nice.
Tip: If you want your lipstick to look flawless, smile as much as possible before putting your lipstick on. It will stretch the skin and will prevent your lips from moving so it’s an easier application. This obviously isn’t necessary, but definitely helps.
Once you’re done putting your lipstick on, use a tissue or paper and put it between your lips. Push your lips together to get rid of any excess lipstick and make sure the lipstick is locked on. If you want a more bold lip, try applying more and repeating the same steps.
Hide those dark teeth!
Everybody that we see advertised seem to have perfect pearly whites. They’re straight and absolutely blinding… however, in real life, this isn’t always the case.
If you don’t have those perfect white teeth, and are insecure about a little yellow, try to hide them. This can be done by using cooler tones of lipstick. Reds with Blue undertones make your teeth seem whiter while darker colors such as Orange make them look darker. STAY AWAY!!
If you’ve followed these steps, and have accomplished the lips you’ve been wanting, go ahead and show off your smile.
